Photos & Uploading

Clear, well-lit photos with a single main subject tend to produce the most striking sketches — portraits, pets, family moments, travel scenes, and milestone events are all popular choices. Photos with strong contrast and a reasonably uncluttered background convert most beautifully.

Very dark, blurry, or heavily filtered images can make it harder to capture fine details, so if possible choose originals over heavily edited versions.

Simply use the upload button on our order page. You can upload directly from your device, or drag and drop files. We accept JPG, PNG, HEIC, and WebP formats. If you have a large number of photos, you can also email them to us after placing your order and we’ll match them to your booking.

It depends on the package you choose:

  • Silver: Up to 20 photos

  • Gold: Up to 35 photos

  • Platinum: Up to 50 photos

Absolutely. Your photos are used solely to create your coloring book and are never shared, sold, or used for any other purpose. We delete uploaded files from our servers within 30 days of your order being fulfilled.

Simply hit the refresh icon on the bottom right of the sketch provided, and the image should refresh with a white background.

There are a few easy ways to reduce your image size before uploading:

1. Online compression tool: Sites like Squoosh or TinyPNG let you compress an image in your browser quickly and for free — no software needed.

2. Using Windows: Open the image in Photos or Paint, click Resize, select a smaller percentage, then choose Save as and select JPEG as the format.

3. Using Mac: Open the image in Preview, choose Tools > Adjust Size, reduce the dimensions, then go to File > Export and save as JPEG.

Tips for best results:

Resize dimensions: Reducing the pixel dimensions is the most effective way to shrink file size. We recommend a width of around 1900px (e.g., 1900 x 1100 pixels) which is more than sufficient for a high-quality sketch.

Format choice: Use JPEG for photographs — it offers excellent compression with minimal quality loss. Use PNG only if your image has a transparent background, as PNG files tend to be larger.

The Sketching Process

Each photo is converted into a clean line-art sketch specifically optimised for coloring — meaning outlines are bold enough to color within, fine details are preserved, and large areas of color are broken up into satisfying sections to fill in. We review every sketch before it goes to print to make sure it looks great.

You can review your sketches before purchasing the order. After the order has been placed, no changes can be made.

Once your sketch is created, if you are not happy with it, press the re-do icon on the bottom of the sketch to re-do the image.

Ordering & Pricing

Pricing depends on the number of pages and quantity ordered. A standard 20-page book starts at [your price here]. Ordering multiple copies of the same book (great for gifts!) brings the per-copy cost down significantly. Check our pricing page for the full breakdown, or contact us for a custom quote.

Yes, and it’s one of the most popular options! Many customers order the same book for grandparents, siblings, or as wedding or baby shower gifts for multiple guests. Simply select your desired quantity at checkout.

In total, most orders arrive within 7-10 business days.

Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping times and costs vary by destination and will be calculated at checkout. Please note that customs duties or import taxes may apply depending on your country — these are the responsibility of the recipient.

Absolutely — just enter the recipient’s address at checkout. You can also add a personalised gift message and we’ll include a handwritten-style note card in the package. The invoice will be sent only to your email, not included in the parcel.
